“Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.”
(2 Cor. 3:17, NIV)
Fireworks over the Willamette River. A flag appears in the cascading sparks.
~ As passion-hearted disciples of Christ, we follow after a loving God who continuously declares freedom over us. Our Father doesn’t chain us to legalistic rules. He sets us free to love as He loves.
~ Jesus, our co-heir, doesn’t coerce us into matching achievements of anyone else. Rather, He releases us to express explosive growth in terms of unique creativity, true to our individual DNA.
~ The Holy Spirit in us lights a strike-anywhere match, fans the flame, and sends us out to multiply it.
In what part of your community is the Holy Spirit using you to ignite a liberating flame?

“He has sent me to bind up the broken
hearted. To proclaim freedom for the
captives and release from darkness for the prisoners.” That’s my Jesus.

Amen Sisters!
I see with my job, being an fitness instructor, I can’t compare to someone else. We are all unique and special in God’s eyes. He uses us all to do His will here on earth.
God Bless you Susan, Lynn and your families! Peace and Love, Bon

I have friends whose ministry to the unsaved has really opened up, and they lead folks to Jesus almost everywhere they go! That’s great, but my ministry is to the hurting, confused and uncomfortable in the church. Many churches are compromising, and it saddens so many long-time believers. But God is the same, and He is good.

Jane, thanks for the reminder to reach out to those uncomfortable in church. I pray we focus not so much on our “holy huddle” as those with whom the Divine Coach tells us to interact – including the lonely and the outcast. Better yet, I pray we keep our eyes on the Lord Himself.
