Unqualified? You’re hired! Part 2

Written by on March 14, 2012

In a very real, raw sort of way, I feel unqualified for my new position in sales and marketing at Tim’s computer business – clueless and and inadequate for the task.

The world tells us we’re not qualified, anointed, or equipped to get the job done. But so what?

When we reflect God’s heart with truth, we’re qualified in His eyes. Then others will be drawn to us.

Now when they [rulers, elders, and scribes] saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were uneducated and untrained men, they marveled. And they realized that they had been with Jesus. (Acts 4:13, NKJV)

No matter what others think, you are are qualified, anointed, appointed, and equipped to live out your divine calling. If God has called you, He will certainly equip you, even if it’s at the eleventh hour.  That eleventh hour clause is gnarly.  Yikes!

When you’ve spent time in intimacy with Jesus, others will see something different in you – and marvel.

My prayer for you today is that as you practice the presence of God, you’ll be transformed in His presence, and draw others into a deeper, broader place of peace in Christ. I pray that people will marvel at you!

What did God call you to do recently, for which you felt unqualified? How did the Holy Spirit provide what was necessary at that time?

Good words – we all need to remember this. Even when we think we just can NOT face the task before us. Thanks, Lynn.

Jane, thanks for your comment. The sense of inadequacy sometimes overwhelms me, and I don’t have the words I need. Glad God shows up. Where would we be without the Holy Spirit?
