Sunrise. May We Rise and Worship Our Savior and Creator

Susan Ward, of Littleton Colorado, won third place in The 45th with this picture she took in San Diego. Susan says the Scriptures  best speak of the golden sunrise which proclaims God’s glories.

Susan writes, “All the words I can think of to add to draw a parallel are insignificant to His:”

“And as far as sunrise is from sunset He has separated us from our sins.”   (Psalm 103:12)

 “He is like the light of morning at sunrise on a cloudless morning, like the brightness after rain that brings grass from the earth.” (2 Samuel 23:4)

  “The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases
    his mercies never come to an end;
    they are new every morning;
    great is your faithfulness.” (Lamentations 3:22-23)

 “From rising to setting sun, may the name of the LORD be praised.” (Psalm 113:3)

 “The whole earth is filled with awe at your wonders; where morning dawns, where evening fades, you call forth songs of joy.” NIV (“You make the dawn and the sunset shout for joy.” (Psalm 65:8, NAS)
