“The mountains melt like wax before the LORD, before the Lord of all the earth.” (Psalm 97:5, NIV)
A fire blazed in our fireplace as Tim and I dreamed and prayed with new friends. A couple of candlesticks burned before the fire.
At the end of the evening, this was the result. The fire melted the candle, and the dripping wax was taller and longer than the candle!
Spiritual Parallel: When we’re in the presence of the Lord, His fire becomes ours. When we pray, asking Him for more of only Him, we’ll supernaturally grow in His strength, His power, His Spirit. And our spiritual growth will exceed all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us (Eph. 3:20, NIV)
The 45th Parallel is a series that explores spiritual parallels in everyday sights. I invite you to email a photo you’ve taken and tell how it illustrates overcoming; forgiving; encouraging; or our relationship with God. It may be featured in an upcoming blog post!
Friend, how is God’s fire showing up in your life today?

Yes, if we truly press into Him, how much will His power exceed what we could ask or imagine? He is faithful.
