Leave it blank!

Written by on January 4, 2012

"Do not worry beforehand, or premeditate what you will speak. But whatever is given you in that hour, speak that; for it is not you who speak, but the Holy Spirit."                (Jesus, in Mark 13:11)

What do I wish for you for the new year? Leave blank spaces for Holy Spirit to write on.

Blank pages in a journal ready for crafted prayers.

Blank appointment slots. Spend them alone with Jesus.

Blank walks and about-town time to share the love of Christ with total strangers.

What will you do with the blank space I'm praying in for you?

    Lynn ~
    Absolutely love this!!!!!!!!!
I am going to share it! (Maybe more than once!!!!)
How's "my" challenge going with you? Hopefully well, but who knows when the fruit of the effort will be seen…
    Have a great week!

Thanks for the kind words, Jarrod. Glad you liked it!  I'm encouraging my sons today with hugs, radioactive text messages, and "Gideon man of God" promises. Er, it had slipped my mind till you checked up on me. Thanks for the reminder. Hmmm.

Good word Lynn (& great illustration too!)  I will intentionally leave blank spaces for Him–because I don't want Him to get leftovers–there usually aren't any!

Gail, thanks for the recent reminder about this verse. It always reminds me not to worry about getting all my ducks in a row. Love the promise that the Holy Spirit will provide the words at that time. Good thing that Guy knows what He’s doing – yikes! So many times I’m clueless!

Nice thoughts Lynn.  I love the verse.  What a remedy for the anxiety that sometimes arises when speaking in front of others.
    Thanks for the day brightener!
