Today I’m excited to share my #1 favorite song with you:
“East and West” by Jonathan Helser from the album Live at Home.
“There’s no mistake I can make that could ever make you change Your love.”
Enjoy this 4-minute video and soak in the vast floorless sea of God’s mercy.
East went lookin’ for West
And never found him
Guilt went lookin’ for my past
But only found love
I heard about a sea where
Sin sinks like stones
There’s no floor
There’s just mercy down below
You can run for all your days
But you’ll never run away
There’s no mistake I can make
That could ever make you change
Your love
I heard about a Man with holes in His hands
He can hide mountains of sin in them
His smile destroys my religion
His love shakes down my prison
You can run for all your days
But you’ll never run away
There’s no mistake I can make
That could ever make you change
Your love
East went lookin’ for West and never found him…
“As far as the east is from the west,
So far has He removed our transgressions from us.”
Psalm 103:12
Friend, how do you release sins, mistakes and regrets to the east and west wind?

Oh – I love this Lynn – it so captures the Good News! Do you mind if I reblog over at Another Red Letter Day?

Ben, absolutely! How terrific to share this song and Christ’s as-far-as-the-east-is-from-the-west thing with others. I love that His grace is your passion, too.

I like Susan went right out and bought in on iTunes. I had heard Jonathan David on the last Bethel collection which I picked up last year, but never knew anything about his independent stuff. My wife and I sat in the snow storm yesterday letting his website play through a dozen or more videos and we went right to iTunes and picked it up. Wonderful stuff.

Ben, I first heard Jonathan David Helser when he accompanied Graham Cooke for a conference here in Portland a couple of years ago. I was an instant fan.

The moment of Christ’s redemption is one of the greatest moments of all history, apparently.
