These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up . . . Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates (Deuteronomy 6:6, 7, 9, NIV).
Like me, do you sometimes need to get refreshed in snack-sized bits?
When Tim had knee surgery a couple of weeks ago, I scrambled to keep up with his needs while he was off his feet. I brought him ice and meals, and drove him to doctor’s appointments. I didn’t have time to settle in with my Bible. When my friend, Elizabeth, emailed me a series of Scriptures about God’s care and healing, my spirit lit up.
We’re excited to have Elizabeth Dyan, of Nehemiah Project International Ministries, as Telios’ Executive Business Coach. She provides leadership training in life, health, relationships, and wellness. She completed the Transformational Leadership program and has a certificate in Prepare and Enrich, a marriage coaching course.
She got it. She knew we needed a boost of prayer. What a godsend!
I glued the Bible verses onto colored index cards, and positioned them around my home to remind me that God was in control. Check them out:
I serve the Lord my God, and He blesses my bread and my water; He takes sickness away from the midst of me. Exodus 23:25
I love the Lord for He preserves the faithful. Psalm 31:23
I give attention to God’s word and receive them and the years of my life are many.
I take a firm hold of God’s Word and will not let it go. Keep them for they are my life.
I will love the Lord who is my strength. Psalm 18:1
I love God’s name and God looks upon me and is merciful to me. Psalm 119:132
And my favorite:
Believing with you . . .
What would happen if you told your friends every day,”I’m believing with you”?
How do you keep bits and bytes of the Good Book before you?
Elizabeth Dyan is passionate about empowering people in their current situation to focus on their strengths and create the future they desire. She’s involved in her community and enjoys her two children, friendships, learning, and fitness, and the active outdoors.
